HEWITT (Bev Mahoney): Back to best with smart 34.65 all-the-way win from box 8 here Dec 27. Usually a reliable beginenr and looks the one to beat again.
MISS MONIQUE (Justyn Ferguson): Back from a stint in WA where her record was not flash. Posted 6 of 9 career wins here incl 34.89 at this trip but take on trust.
AWESOME KATH (Olga Vassilakis): Failed twice since landing 36.31 win in much weaker class at Richmond Dec 3. At the tail in 43.42 over 720m at WP Dec 31. This looks too tough.
YALLAH COWGIRL (Rose Parrish): Solid effort when 2 3/4 lens 3rd in smart 30.01 here Dec 27. Boasts 4 wins here at this trip. Offers value for multiples.
YOU NO MISS (Dean Swain): Back from a long break and never in the hunt when 10 lens 7th in 30.10 here Dec 27. Better suited at this trip but lacks pace and will need luck to feature.

PIXY UPPSY (Syd Swain): Given a break following 9 lens last in 30.35 at Lithgow Dec 8. Sparingly raced in recent times and new here but this is not tough. Hard to beat on 30.55 all-the-way win at WP Oct 29 and has won up to 618m.
SUBTLE TEARS (Owen Langley): Sparingly raced in recent times. Landed 34.98 S/Trial win here Dec 28 at middle distance debut. Open to further improvement and has won at WP in 30.36. Each way.
LITTLE BRITAIN (Doreen Broadrick): Lacks early speed. No threat when 6 1/2 lens 4th in 30.76 at WP Dec 24. Appears suited at this trip but minor claims are best.
COOL BABE (Allan Bryant): Well supported but no threat when 7 lens 4th in 34.65 here Dec 27. Awkwardly drawn but drops in class and commands respect.

DONAZIONE (Owen Langley): Made ground late yet never a winning chance when 5 1/2 lens 2nd in 30.10 here Dec 27. Tends to mix box manners and will be afforded no mistakes.
APOLLO PRINCE (John Moore): Beaten on merit when 8 1/2 lens 2nd in 30.35 here Dec 8. Freshened and this is a good deal easier. Trifecta chance.
YALLAH FLIGHT (Rose Parrish): Finished strongly to post 30.39 win here Dec 27. Recent box manners have been mixed yet capable of testing this lot given any luck early on.
PHOENIX FLASH (Syd Swain): Quickly led from box 7 and landed 30.34 win here Dec 27 at local debut. Open to further improvement.
DIGGER ROSS (Terry Kennedy): No threat when 6 lens 4th in 26.07 at Goulburn Dec 26. Capable from an outside alley yet minor claims are best.
IRINKA SHARON (Bruce Lloyd): Speedy customer which landed 30.51 all-the-way win here Dec 6 and followed with 26.99 win at Bulli Dec 12. Should not be far away at any stage.
DAISY DAY (Allan Manwaring): In early trouble and pay to overlook 15 lens 7th in 31.18 at WP Dec 24. Landed 30.34 win here Dec 13 and commands respect on that effort.

ENMAR FOLLY (Jenny Brown): Accounted for moderate opposition in 30.35 here Dec 20 when resuming from a break. Followed with 30.24 win here Dec 27. Solid claims but this is not easy.
ROCKET JOHN (John Aldous): Led but swamped late when 3 lens 3rd in 26.70 at Bulli Dec 5. Followed with battling 2 1/4 lens 2nd in 26.95 there Dec 12. Has a turn of speed but new here and the 520 will test.
ALEXIS BANNER (Gary Adams): Cut down in the latter stages when 2 1/2 lens 2nd in 30.93 at WP Dec 24. Tends to mix box manners and will be afforded no mistakes at local debut.
SWIPINATOR (Wayne Smith): Landed 31.37, 31.14 wins at Cannington Dec 5, 12 at most recent outings. Kicked off his career here in Sept with 30.50 win and looks to have improved his box manners. Watch betting.
FOX GIFT (Chris Arletos): Untroubled when 30.34 all-the-way winner here Dec 20. Again led but grabbed late when len 2nd in 31.22 at Richmond Dec 28. Should not be far away at any stage.
TURBINE BALE (Ian McFarlane): Raced erratically when head 2nd in 30.62 WP qual Oct 18. Followed with 1 1/4 lens 2nd in 35.29 over 600m at Canberra Nov 11. Talented and has won here in 29.97. Hard to beat on best form.
MARK'S TEARS (Mark Gatt): Hampered at the first turn when trying to cross from box 8 here Dec 27 and cut down last strides neck 2nd in 30.39. Speedy and capable of leading this lot. Chance in an open affair.
MISS SWIP (Wayne Smith): Had box 3 and smart 30.72 Cannington winner Dec 12. Boasts smart 30.00 win here and not badly positioned. Each way in a smart line-up.
MACKINTOSH (Steve Westman): Placed only once in 3 starts since landing 30.80 (best) maiden win at Dubbo Nov 17. Others preferred.
PEPPER LEE (Stephen Turner): Landed 30.39 maiden win here Sept 19 at debut then 10 lens 4th in slow 30.94 here Sept 26. Resumes in far tougher company. Not expected to worry this lot.

BUNGALA BALE (Ian McFarlane): Had support but never a factor when 10 lens 4th in 30.76 at WP Dec 29. This is more suitable and placed in 2 of 3 locally.
CLAPPO (Loretta Rice): Local results had been solid before 7 1/2 lens 7th in 30.39 here Dec 27. Not a quick beginner yet suited in this class. Trifecta chance.
LIAM'S LUCK (Justyn Ferguson): Down the track in two WP outings since 26.20 Goulburn win Dec 15. Can show pace but new here. The betting will be the best guide.
KUMTA SNIP (Wally Lutiger): Solid effort when 2 3/4 lens 2nd in 30.34 here Dec 27. Placed in 3 of 6 here but not overly quick early and this middle alley does not help.
SMASHING JEN (Neil Falk): Impressed when 30.18 winner here Dec 20 at debut. Worked to the line strongly when neck 2nd in 30.24 here Dec 27 and can make amends given a little room to move early on.
SHE'S GLAMOROUS (Rose Birrell): Speedy customer which led for a long way when 3/4 len 2nd in 30.66 at WP Dec 24. Can match these for speed but the last 50m is the test.
WILSON (Terry Kennedy): Accounted for moderate opposition in solid 25.76 at Canberra Dec 23. New here and yet to be tested beyond 440m. Faces a stern test.
ISSEYMIYAKE (Ian McFarlane): Unable to get across from box 8 and finished 11 lens 6th in 30.76 at WP Dec 29. This is only marginally easier. Others have stronger claims.
